BTX Fiber is a recently launched, locally-operated internet service provider, powered by Lit Communities. In a public-private partnership, The City of Brownsville and Lit Communities have developed a plan that focuses on using technology to increase connectivity and create community throughout the City of Brownsville.

BTX Fiber will begin work on a $70 million project to make fiber-based broadband available to homes and businesses throughout Brownsville. Construction and the rollout of broadband services will take place in phased deployments, starting in 2023.

We believe everyone deserves access to fast, reliable fiber internet to work, learn, access telehealth, and more. We’re proud to bring that access to homes and businesses across Brownsville.
